SendGrid, which currently has an office in Orange, has signed a lease at 400 Spectrum Drive, the new Irvine Company office tower under construction at Irvine Spectrum Center.

SendGrid announced today that it's signed a lease for a new office space in Orange County.

The new 22,000-plus square foot office at 400 Spectrum Center Drive in Irvine will nearly triple its existing square footage. The landlord is the Irvine Co.

The Problem: As chief of staff to California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Susan Kennedy helped oversee a massive increase in the state’s renewable-energy capacity—and witnessed its unintended consequences. While solar power helped bring down the overall energy draw on the power grid during the day, demand surged in the evening, requiring utilities to run fossil-fuel plants for backup power.

Mazda has moved to its new home at 200 Spectrum Center Drive. The location, near the Irvine Spectrum, is about a mile away from Mazda North American Operations’ old headquarters.
